Guitar Setup Class: June 27th, 2018
I've gotten a lot of requests for a weekday class, and Wednesday was mentioned a few times. This is my attempt to answer those requests. I hope to see some of you in the shop! -Nate
Ever wish you could fix that one little problem that makes your guitar a chore to play? Just want to know how your guitar works?
This is the class for you.
Over the course of about three hours, I'll teach you, from start to finish, how to perform your own guitar setups. This knowledge is invaluable. It will help you navigate playability problems on your own instruments, as well as those of your bandmates. Knowing how the guitar is setup will allow you to trace problems deeper, and even help you judge whether a guitar is worth purchasing.
Each step in the setup process is vital, but it is also imperative that they are done in the proper order. The correct steps in the wrong order can amount to worse playability.
Each student is provided with literature explaining the process. You can keep this literature for future use, whenever you need it.
Certain guitars are not permitted in this class, due to their more extensive setup procedures. This includes any guitar equipped with a Floyd Rose, Kahler, or similar locking/floating vibrato systems. Standard Stratocaster-style vibratos and Bigsby/Bigsby-inspired vibratos are fine.
The cost of this class is $100. I teach one class per month, with a limit of three people per class. Classes are usually held the first Sunday of each month at 1:00 PM. Please email me with your contact information, so I can notify you in case of cancellation or changes.
Note: This class is a Wednesday, and will be held at 1:00PM.
